Vintage Notes

Fortune shined in 2016—our third exceptional vintage in a row. The growing season was especially warm and dry, leading to near-perfect maturity. With this ripeness, the flavors were well-developed and complex. We began harvesting Pinot noir at the very beginning of September, and the maceration revealed a nice concentration and tannic structure.

Tasting Notes

Nice intense and bright color. The nose is very fruity, with both red and black fruit, and has delicate spices—licorice and cinnamon—and floral notes. The palate reveals a balanced wine, with an excellent freshness enhanced by lacy minerality and the delicate flavors of cherries, blackberries, and raspberries.

Vintage Notes

Similar to the impressive 2014 vintage, 2015 was a long and harmonious growing season, leading to fruit of exceptional quality. The Coast Range fended off the rains over our organically dry-farmed Résonance Vineyard, allowing the estate-grown Pinot Noir to develop intense concentration. Through careful vineyard management, our Découverte Vineyard produced Pinot Noir characterized by freshness and red fruit. Overall, the wines of 2015 are wonderful, with bright colors and harmonious aromas and flavors across the board.

Tasting Notes

Beautiful cherry color and transparency. The nose is very floral, with notes of cherry, figs, and sapwood. On the mouth, the wine is powerful, full of the bright flavors of ripe red fruit and black cherry with some minerality. The wine finishes with a touch of acidity and citrus.

Vintage Notes

The warmest vintage on record in the Willamette Valley, 2014 started wet but quickly dried out due to summer heat. Temperatures were generally even. The fruit was characterized by the balance of power, structure, and elegance.

Tasting Notes

Deep and brilliant dark-ruby color. On the nose, aromas of red fruits are elegantly bolstered by a touch of spice and wood. Flavors such as cherries, currants, tobacco, and mocha standout in the mouth, with soft tannins and a pleasant minerality lingering on the finish.
